Ten-Year Jubilee

I was honored to be asked to photograph the ten-year jubilee of Academie van de Stad: an organisation that connect students to society by coordinating countless social projects in various cities throughout the Netherlands.

These images were captured during a variety of activities in a neighbourhood in Amsterdam-West over the past year. The photos were commissioned by Academie van de Stad.
This photo series was shot during a promotion ceremony at the University of Amsterdam. Jochem defended his doctoral research in the Agnietenkapel, the oldest building of the University, located on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal. I was asked to capture this ceremony from beginning to end. Doing so, I tried to emphasize the personal aspect of the event.
